Winter Journal
White, quiet snow
Frozen fog at day break
A captured moment through
womanly eyes.
Fluttering chilly, yellow finches
happy with sad.
Undisturbed tree swing buried,
in the artic wind.
No child voice today.
Deer grouped together, steaming tails down, frosted steaming
backs hoofing it back carefully to a barren wooded shelter.
Ever so tranquil crunching.
Earth sadness covered in a fresh milk hue.
White, quiet snow.
